The Matatu Slasher, a crime horror novel set in the Kenyan matatu culture.

Imagine you are in a matatu, listening to music, then out of nowhere, a juakali welder armed with a panga, slashes and maims the passenger next to you through an open window.

Will you ever use a matatu again?

You might have no option. Taxis are too expensive. Driving? Well, Kenya's fuel price see-saws after every economic sneeze. You'll scream for some kind of a hero to swoop in and stop the killer but this is not a superhero movie. The cops will just be cops.
